Aug 20., 2024 – Following the launch of the 2024 “FuturizeU Healthcare Incubator,” Futurize and AstraZeneca are excited to announce the 14 innovative startups selected to join this year’s cohort. Building on the momentum of our inaugural program, these startups were chosen from a competitive pool of applicants across Africa, representing the next generation of healthcare solutions tailored to the continent’s unique challenges.
Each of these startups and their founders have demonstrated exceptional promise in leveraging advanced technologies such as AI and Machine Learning to address critical healthcare needs, ranging from early disease detection to enhancing the accessibility of medical care. The selected startups represent founders from 22 universities across ten countries.

In collaboration with AstraZeneca, through their innovation hubs, the second cohort is set to benefit from local to global ecosystems to prepare them for market readiness.
