AIP heads to ProPak Philippines next week

The Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) will not only be exhibiting for the sixth consecutive year at ProPak Philippines 2026 next week, but will also be coordinating, in partnership with Informa Markets, the 6th edition of the Philippine Packaging Forum, running two mini training courses, and for the first time, launching the new Drinktech conference. All of industry is invited to attend the three events and also have the opportunity to see the showcase of Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) award winning packs ion display on the AIP stand.

Wednesday 4th February 2026 – AIP 2x Mini Training Courses

The AIP will be running not one, but two mini training courses, alongside of ProPak Philippines on Wednesday the 4th of February.

The first training course will cover ‘Unboxing Accessibility: Easy to Open, Reclose, Grip & Handle Packaging’ and the second one will discuss ‘Steps to design Sustainable Packaging: Guidelines for primary, secondary & tertiary packaging’. All participants will attain points towards the globally-recognised Certificate Packaging Professional designation and a Certificate of Course Completion.

Thursday 5th February 2026 – 6th Edition Philippine Packaging Forum

The AIP, in partnership with Informa Markets, will be holding the 6th edition of the annual Philippine Packaging Forum on Thursday the 5th of February, alongside of ProPak Philippines 2026 with 14 x expert speakers from across the region. Five of the speakers are Members of the AIP including Jebsen Montalbo Villarba MAIP, Packaging Assistant Manager for Design and Development, Crestec Philippines Inc., Eunice Joy D. Ison MBA, AAIP, Founder, EU.NIK Industrial Design Services, Devaki Rajendren MAIP, APAC Sustainability Manager, MCC Label, Nerida Kelton FAIP, Vice President Sustainability & Save Food WPO, Executive Director, AIP and Prof. Pierre Pienaar FAIP, CPPL, Education Director, AIP.

The Philippine Packaging Forum will bring together local, regional and global packaging experts that will discuss a wide array of packaging-related topics including sustainability, food packaging, packaging and recycling regulations, lifecycle assessment, the importance of data and digitalisation, packaging design, food waste, packaging trends, new innovations and more.

Friday 6th February 2026 – Inaugural Drinktech Conference

The AIP Australasian Institute of Packaging, in partnership with Informa Markets, will be holding the inaugural Drinktech conference on Friday the 6th of February, alongside of ProPak Philippines 2026 with expert speakers from across the region. Three AIP speakers will be participating in the panel discussions including Prof Pierre Pienaar FAIP, CPPL, Devaki Rajendran MAIP and Nerida Kelton FAIP.

The Drinktech Conference is a dedicated industry forum focusing on innovation in the beverage sector, with an emphasis on policies, technology, and sustainable packaging.

The program will discuss key topics such as sustainable packaging innovations, recycle content, container deposit schemes, recycling and regulations, new packaging designs and trends in the beverage industry, labelling, materials advancements and more.
