AIP offers 5x educational events with 33 leading experts at ProPak Asia 2025 edition

As the peak professional body for packaging training & education in Australasia, the Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP), in partnership with Informa Markets, will be providing the largest amount of technical educational content alongside of the 2025 edition of  ProPak Asia. ProPak Asia visitors will have the opportunity to hear from 33 leading global experts from across the global packaging industry, who will be sharing their knowledge across five events over three days; all free to attend. This year all of the events are available in simultaneous translation (Thai & English) and everyone is welcome. The hardest part will be selecting what you want to attend and making sure that you pre-register, so that you don’t miss out.

7th edition Global Packaging Forum – Wednesday 11th June = 19 global experts from 10 countries

Organised by Informa Markets & the Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP), the 7th edition of the Global Packaging Forum is the largest packaging conference held alongside of ProPak Asia each year. This pinnacle event for the region brings together global and regional experts to discuss the future of Sustainable Packaging Design, Save Food Packaging design, Global Packaging Design standards, Plastics Alternatives such as Fibre, Paper & Renewable Materials, Active & Intelligent Packaging, Sustainable Food Systems and Food Waste, Save Food Packaging, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Eco Modulation, and local and global packaging, waste, recycling and recovery regulations. The discussions will be led by leading Global & Local experts who will deep-dive into the current state of play within the packaging industry. Attendees can join the full day program, or come to individual sessions.

AIP Mini Training Courses – Thursday 12th June = 2 globally leading technical lecturers

The AIP will be offering not one, but two mini training course at ProPak Asia. Mini Training Course 1 – ‘Introduction to Sustainable Packaging Design Guidelines’ will enable companies to deep-dive into their existing and new packaging development processes to ensure that the business is reducing the environmental footprint of all packaging where possible, and at the same time meeting global and local food waste and packaging waste targets. Mini Training Course 2 – ‘Introduction to Corrugated Packaging’ will explores numerous areas of packaging and supply chain technology that are key to engineering corrugated solutions for success and avoidance of costly errors. The course will look at sustainability in the real world and how corrugated packaging is playing a leading role in the delivery of responsible packaging for the generations to come. AIP Workshops – Friday 13th June = 12 expert speakers from 6 countries

The AIP will be offering not one, but two interactive workshops at ProPak Asia. Workshop 1 – ‘State of Industry for Plastic Alternatives- Fibre & Paper & Renewable Materials’ will bring together 5x leading experts from across the globe to discuss the future of paper, fibre, corrugated packaging, renewable materials and labelling solutions. This interactive workshop will discuss certifications, the environmental impacts of each of these packaging materials, where they are suitable, the barriers and trends and provide best practice examples. Workshop 2 – ‘Building a Circular Economy for Rigid & Flexible Plastic materials’ will bring together 7x leading experts to discuss the global view of what a circular economy for plastics package really looks like. The experts will cover both rigid and soft plastics, trends in mono materials, recycled content, food safety, new innovations and packaging designs, mechanical and chemical recycling opportunities and more. This is a not-to-miss interactive workshop that will enable attendees to ask all of the difficult questions of these leading experts.

All five educational events are all internationally recognised and approved to attain Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) points and all attendees can receive a Certificate of Attendance upon Request

2025 PIDA Awards showcase Hall 98

To top off the  week the AIP will also have a fabulous showcase of the ‘just announced’ 2025 Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) award winning packs on display at Booth 8 -FY276, Hall 98. Also being showcased will be 2025 ANZ WorldStar winners and WorldStar student winners. Please come and visit the AIP stand and see the latest award-winning packs that exemplify the future of sustainable packaging design.

Australian Pavilion Hall 100

There is also an Australian Pavilion at the show and multiple Australian companies exhibiting to come and see. Please visit the Australian Pavilion in the PackagingTechAsia zone in Hall 100, as well as Lantech, Heat and Control and OFS exhibiting close by.
