Hoi An, Vietnam — WAFAIFO Resort Hoi An, through its sustainability and community platform, the WAFAIFO Foundation, proudly hosted a special International Children’s Day celebration in partnership with Kianh Foundation, bringing together children, families and the wider WAFAIFO community for an afternoon of joy, creativity and connection.
Held at WAFAIFO Resort Hoi An, the event featured interactive games, face painting, candy hunts and activity stations designed to create meaningful moments for all participating children. A highlight of the day was the “Smile Recharge Station,” where children from Kianh Foundation shared handmade items lovingly prepared for the event.
The celebration forms part of WAFAIFO Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting local community initiatives and creating opportunities for inclusion, education and social connection.

Beyond community events and educational engagement, the WAFAIFO Foundation also supports the Kianh Foundation through an ongoing guest donation initiative. Guests are invited to contribute USD 1 during their stay, with WAFAIFO Resort matching every donation dollar for dollar, helping provide direct financial support to the foundation and its programs.
“This initiative allows our guests to become part of the journey as well,” added van der Hoeven. “Even a small contribution, when combined with others, can help create a meaningful impact for these children and their future.”
WAFAIFO Foundation regularly partners with Kianh Foundation during key community occasions, including Children’s Day and Christmas celebrations, helping create environments where children can interact, build confidence and connect with others in a supportive setting.
